Taking into account the interests of breeders of the above breeds and for ensuring an adequate interpretation by the judges of FCI standards, the FCI General Committee made the following decision:

1. In countries where it is forbidden by law to crop tails / ears, it is forbidden to show dogs with cropped tails / ears at all FCI events. This includes even dogs of breeds for which tail / ear cropping was traditional.
2. In countries where there is no legal prohibition on tails / ears cropping, at all FCI events dogs of the breed traditionally subjected to tails / ears cropping can be shown without restriction along with dogs whose ears / tails are not cropped. FCI Judges may not discriminate against dogs with cropped tails / ears before dogs with uncropped tails / ears. This provision is valid from the date of publication, March 7, 2016, up to December 31, 2024.

In Russia, there is no prohibition on showing dogs with cropped ears and tails, but the judge, when evaluating the dog, is obliged to rely on the standard, especially for dogs born after January 1, 2016.
